about my company

I created kreations by kristy in July of 2009 to expand on one of my hobbies. The company is a way for me to continue to be a stay at home mom, while also giving me a creative outlet and allowing me to make a little money doing something that I truly enjoy. Before I had children, I took a few graphic and web design courses at a community college, where I learned the basic skills necessary for using the Adobe line of products, including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and Dreamweaver. Combining this with the love of art that I have possessed since childhood, and my new career was born.

I choose to provide the products that I do because although there are many popular print sites that can be found online, all of which contain numerous beautiful designs, they are not fully customizable. When you choose to work with me, we will work together to create something that is exactly what you are envisioning, from the colors to the fonts, or the placement to the size. You can send me ideas that you have found and like, or I can create something for you from scratch to fit your needs.

I love throwing beautiful parties for my boys' birthdays. I let them choose the theme, then I go work creating something fabulous! They love it and look forward to their birthdays - a special day all about them. I'd love to help you celebrate your child(ren), too!

I want my customers to be 100% satisfied with the product that I create and you will have the opportunity to proof everything before receiving the final product, even if it takes multiple proofs.

Please feel free to browse through my site here, my Etsy shop, or on Facebook, to see examples of products I have created. Please email me (kreationsbykristy at gmail dot com) with any questions you may have. Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog!

  • Choose a design that you like from the examples posted on my blog, or Facebook page, or request a custom design.
  • Send me an email containing the following information, or fill out the client info form:
    • The details of your event, including date, time and place, or
    • The "stats" (i.e., name, date of birth, height/weight, etc for birth announcements)
    • RSVP info, if applicable (name, phone number, RSVP by date)
    • The text/wording for your card (if you have something specific in mind)
    • An attachment with the picture(s) (number depends on the design)
    • The size card you would like (4" x 6", 5" x 7", 3.5" x 8", or something else)
    • The quantity and type of paper you would like, for printing purposes, or
    • The email address where you would like me to send your digital design
  • You will receive a confirmation email, acknowledging receipt of your order.
  • Next, you will receive a proof via email. This should happen within 1-3 days of the confirmation email, unless I note otherwise with your confirmation. We will make any revisions you desire, until you are 100% satisfied with the product.
  • Once you approve the final proof, I will request that you send payment for the product. I accept cash, check, credit card, or PayPal payments. Secure payments (via the PayPal site) can be made by clicking on the "pay now" link in the right sidebar, or by mailing the payment directly to me.
  • Alternatively, you can purchase listings directly from my Etsy shop, or request a custom listing just for you!
  • Once payment is received, I will begin the printing process. If you would prefer to print the product yourself, you may purchase a high-res digital copy of the design, with a print release. You can then take this file, or upload it, to any photo finisher (i.e., Target, Walmart, Office Depot, Staples, Snapfish, Shutterfly, etc) that you would like to have your prints made. Please note that some stores will not print characters due to copyrights. I am not responsible for issues you may encounter with printing.
  • I use high-quality Epson photo paper (glossy or luster/matte) or heavy-weight, matte cardstock to print your product.
  • Printing is done on an Epson Stylus Photo 1400 printer, using Claria High-Definition ink for a beautiful, high-quality product.
  • For current printing costs, please see the pricing tab.

  • When submitting photos to me for use in designs, please send them as .jpg, .tiff, or .bmp files. If you are scanning non-digital photos, please scan them at a minimum 300 dpi resolution. I cannot take responsibility for the print quality of low-resolution images.
  • If you would like to use a non-digital photo and you do not have access to a scanner, you can mail me the photo(s), so that I can scan them for you. I will return the original photo(s) with your final order.
  • I can edit photos as necessary for the design, including, but not limited to conversion to black and white, or sepia tone, correcting the color balance of old photos, creating cutout images, etc.
  • It is illegal for me to use images that are copyrighted without permission of the photographer or company that holds the copyright. By submitting me photos, you agree that you are the photographer, or that you have permission in the form of a copyright license from the copyright holder. You also agree to take full responsibility for any misuse of copyrighted images and agree to not hold me liable for any misuse of copyrighted images.
